This post is to announce some very important news. The Sneads Ferry King Mackerel Tournament is switching venues, effective immediately.
The new site for this weekend’s 34th Sneads Ferry KMT is the Sneads Ferry Marina at 121 Hall Point Rd in Sneads Ferry. Anglers: Dock GPS Coords are N34 33.8, W 77 22.8. This site is off the New River main channel 1.5 miles NW of the intersection of the New River and the ICW. There will be guide boats both at the intersection of the New River and ICW, and in the New River channel at the turning point to Sneads Ferry Marina – see pictures. Once turning in towards the marina, the channel and is well-marked and there is at least 3.5 feet of water all the way in.
For patrons, there is ample parking, and we will have all the normal KMT attractions including T-shirt sales, 50-50 raffle tickets, and kayak raffle tickets. Our big LEDTV scoreboard will be up, and we also plan to have hot dogs, a lemonade stand, and ice cream. For a full meal, you can step right next-door to the Riverview Café and enjoy items off their delicious menu.

Events Friday, August 15, will remain the same at the Community Center with the Captain’s Dinner going down from 4 to 8 pm, with the Captains’ Meeting outside the Community Center at 7 pm.
